PITREAVIE hurdler Eilidh Child has completed a memorable summer by winning gold in the 400 metres hurdles at the European Athletics Championships in Zurich.
The 27-year-old was the hot favourite to add to her Commonwealth Games silver medal in Saturday's final and in a time of 54.48 seconds - her second best of the season - she claimed her first European Championship title.
Child then doubled her haul at the meet by helping Great Britain and Northern Ireland to a bronze medal in the 4x400m relay yesterday (Sunday).
Those medals helped Britain secure their best-ever performance at a European Championships, which included 12 golds.
