PITREAVIE athletes have topped two of the four 2014 SATS (Scottish Association of Track Statisticians) rankings.

European champion and Commonwealth Games silver medallist Eilidh Child came out on top in the senior rankings.

And in the under-15 SATS rankings, Pitreavie hammer thrower Emma Rae (pictured) claimed top spot.

Child's performances in some of the world's top 400m hurdle races put her ahead of fellow Commonwealth Games athletes, such as Lynsey Sharp, Laura Muir and Eilish McColgan.

Rae, meanwhile, has also enjoyed an outstanding season, winning a string of titles and setting a new Scottish record in her age group of 51.91m.

Currently ranked in the top three in the UK, her long list of successes included winning the Scottish Schools title and the Scottish championships at both under-15 and under-17 level.

Also making it into the top 20 of the under-15 SATS rankings is James Adam. Successes including winning the Scottish Schools 800m title earned him 13th place in the rankings.

The SATS rankings are made up of an athlete's top three performance scores in the 2014 outdoor season along with bonus points for performances at the Commonwealth Games, European Championships, British Championships and Scottish Championships.
