WITH the cricket season fast approaching and after a successful pre-season indoor nets, Dunfermline and Carnegie start their outdoor nets at McKane Park on Tuesday.

These will continue throughout the season on every Tuesday and Thursday from 6pm.

Said club president Martin Honeyford: "During the close season we have started to update our pavilion so everyone is looking forward to getting practice sessions."

He added: "We also have junior coaching which will be starting on April 19 at 6.30pm which will also include Kwik Cricket and our All Stars and is suitable for all children from the age of five."

Dunfermline's first team will play Glenrothes 2/3 at McKane Park on Saturday April 21 (1pm) in a friendly before opening their East of Scotland Cricket Association Division Four campaign at Linlithgow 2 on April 28.
