Former Everton and Manchester United boss - and Pars defender - David Moyes helped make the historic draw for Thomas Courts' side and they were handed a trip to Civil Service Strollers or Newton Stewart in the second preliminary round on Saturday 5th September.
Kelty were handed a place in the tournament after winning the East Region Super League title last season and, after avoiding a first round tie, they will find out their opponents after those matches are played on 15th August.
East of Scotland Premier Division outfit Civil Service Strollers, based in the Muirhouse area of Edinburgh, reached the first round of last season's competition, losing 4-1 to Forres Mechanics, while South of Scotland league Newton Stewart were knocked out of the preliminary round 3-0 by Hawick Royal Albert.
The full draw is as follows: First Preliminary Round (ties to be played Saturday 15th August): Civil Service Strollers v Newton Stewart Harestanes v Girvan St Cuthbert Wanderers v Burntisland Shipyard Golspie Sutherland v Cove Rangers Wigtown and Bladnoch v Vale of Leithen.
Second Preliminary Round (ties to be played Saturday 5th September): Civil Service Strollers/Newton Stewart v Kelty Hearts Hermes v Auchinleck Talbot Wigtown and Bladnoch/Vale of Leithen v Hawick Royal Albert Lothian Thistle v Harestanes/Girvan Golspie Sutherland/Cove Rangers v St Cuthbert Wanderers/Burntisland Shipyard.
