THE golden girl of World Rallycross geared up for the next round of the championships with a high-speed test at Knockhill.
Swedish star Ramona Karlsson was at the track recently to go through her paces with the 600bhp, two-litre 16v Peugeot 208 supercar.
It was the first-ever visit to Knockhill by a FIA World Rallycross Championship team - another milestone in the West Fife circuit's 40th anniversary year.
Karlsson is the newest recruit to the Albatec Racing Team and became the first woman to compete in the World RX series when she replaced former F1 world champion Jacques Villenueve.
A former double crosskart champion, she also underwent a test at Mayenne, in France, ahead of the next round of the championships in Germany.
Karlsson, who switched to rallycross this year, said, "The two days at Mayenne and Knockhill proved very beneficial.
"I really feel like we have a great relationship and I feel more motivated than I have for a very long time."
