No luck for Shedden at Silverstone

DALGETY BAY driver Gordon Shedden had no luck amid dreadful conditions at a wet Silverstone in the latest rounds of the British Touring Cars Championship at the weekend.

In the first race, Shedden battled his way through the field to be in the running in seventh until a bump ruled him out of the points and demoted him to 13th.

A flying start to race two saw "Flash" make up several positions to put him in the thick of the action in the lead pack.

Weather conditions were very poor and rain played a major part in the race causing several safety car periods.

Despite this, Shedden continued to battle on through the terrible conditions and ran with good pace, eventually finishing eighth.

It was again a wet start for the third race, Shedden got a great start and took the lead heading into the first corner and led the pack around.

Unfortunately, Tom Onslow Cole then forced his way past and pushed the West Fifer back into the following pack where he fought valiantly but got bumped down the order, finishing 11th.

With just three rounds left of the championship at Brands Hatch on 21st September, Shedden lies seventh in the drivers" standings on 137 points, with Team Halfords third in the team competition.
