Three golds for InCAS masters

FIVE InCAS swimmers attended the inaugural East District Open Masters Championships at Prestonpans recently.
Despite a record entry of more than 160 competitors, the InCAS team managed to win a total of three gold, six silver and two bronze medals.
InCAS swimmer and member of the Great Britain water polo team, Andrew Woodall gained gold in the 16-18 years" 100 metres individual medley and 50m freestyle.
Paul Woodland, who has recently returned to training after the birth of his first child, won gold in the 30-35 years" 50m freestyle and silvers in the 50 and 100m breaststroke.
Open water swimmer Andrea Gellan, more used to longer, colder conditions, won silvers in the 50-55 years" 100m freestyle, 100 and 50m butterfly and bronze in the 50m freestyle.
Sixteen-year-old Lorraine Johnston won silver in the 16-18 years" 100m butterfly, swimming in her first ever masters event.
Donald Griffith, also 16 and swimming in his first masters" competition, gained a bronze in the 16-18 men"s 100m butterfly.
