A FIFE FLYER chopped off his trademark beard to help raise almost £4000 for a good cause.
American defenceman Matt Nickerson was joined by his wife Noora, who also had her long hair cut off and donated to the Little Princess Trust, for the de-bearding in front of more than 300 fans at the Fife Ice Arena on Thursday.
Special edition #byebyebeard t-shirts helped the couple raise £897 for CHAS on the night and £3011 on their Justgiving.com page.
Matt said, "To be brutally honest, I was just hoping to hit £1000 but when it hit the £2,000 mark I was absolutely shocked!
"Amazing stuff, thank you everyone for helping out." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be_hlaDU6TY
