Fife Lions maul Tigers

FIFE LIONS rugby league side recorded their most impressive win of the season at Harley Street on Saturday against Carluke Tigers.

Stuart Doidge opened the scoring after four minutes and further tries in the first half came from Greig Wallace, Barry Dunnett and a Brian Vidler brace. Neil McAlonie kicked four conversions.

Gerard McQueen was the first to cross the gain line after the restart, followed by Rab Truesdale, Wallace again and Vidler completed his hat-trick. Scott MacGillivray, Stuart Roy and McAlonie, on the final whistle, also added to the score.

With McAlonie also popping over another five kicks in the second half, the Lions eventually ran out 66-0 winners.

Victoria Knights are the visitors to Harley Street on Saturday.
