ABERDOUR hit another five goals against Taynuilt in their Marine Harvest South Division 1 match on Saturday.

The home team started well with John MacLennan scoring in six minutes, but Taynuilt's Ryan Gillies quickly levelled in 20 minutes with a great strike past keeper Tom Bowerman.

And then Taynuilt's Fraser MacMillan followed up with another in 35 minutes, leaving the Dour 2-1 down at the break.

However, after a pep talk from coach Lisa Norman, the Fifers came out for the second half determined to take the game to Taynuilt and they did exactly that with Craig Matheson blasting in a goal in 47 minutes and MacLennan getting his second in 65 minutes.

Aberdour's Darren Coyle weaved his way past the visiting defenders in 75 minutes, finally flicking a beauty of a ball past the keeper and into the goal.

It was then left to Michael Lightbody to finish the Argyll and Bute side off, with a terrific strike in 89 minutes.

Taynuilt hadn't lost to Aberdour before Saturday, but a few experienced players from the north have proved a very positive influence on the whole team.

Aberdour's second team are away to Inveraray on Saturday in a Marine Harvest South Division 2 Match.

The next Aberdour first team game is also away to Inveraray on Saturday 20th April in the next round of the AJG Parcels Celtic Society Cup.

Inveraray's first team currently plays in the Premiership and may prove to be Aberdour's greatest test this season.
