ANOTHER three West Fife athletes will compete for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games after the final team line-up was confirmed this morning (Thursday).

Dunfermline Track and Field club's Gemma Nicol and Jamie Bowie, as well as Dalgety Bay swimmer Craig Rodgie, were named during the announcement in Stirling.

The trio join 400m hurdles athlete Eilidh Child, cyclists Charline Joiner and Eileen Roe, swimmers Kathryn Johnstone and Rachel O'Donnell, gymnast Emma White and bowler Billy Allan in representing West Fife in Glasgow.

Nicol and Bowie will run in the 4x400m relay events while Rodgie will compete in the S14 200m freestyle swimming event.

In 2002, Nicol became Scotland's youngest athlete to compete at a Commonwealth Games aged just 16 and was in the victorious Scotland 4x400m relay team in January's International Match in Glasgow.

The Games begin on Wednesday 23rd July and run until 3rd August.
