CARNEGIE Swimming Club's Rachael O'Donnell will compete for a Commonwealth Games medal after helping Scotland reach the 4x100m freestyle final this afternoon.
The 18-year-old from Charlestown helped her team-mates Rachel Masson, Sian Harkin, Lucy Hope to a third place finish behind Australia and England in their heat with a time of 3:45.79.
There was also success for Dunfermline's Kathryn Johnstone, who qualified for the 50m breaststroke semi-finals by finishing third in her heat this morning. The 23-year-old swam a time of 31.38 seconds and will look to secure her place in the final this evening from 8pm.
