DUNFERMLINE have completed their third signing of the January transfer window by snapping up Dundee midfielder James Vincent.

The 28-year-old former Inverness Caledonian Thistle player, who Allan Johnston had expressed an interest in earlier this month, has agreed a loan deal until the end of the season.

He will go straight into the Pars squad ahead of this Saturday's match at Greenock Morton and Press Sport understands the club are hopeful of securing another new addition this week.

Vincent began his career with Stockport County before moving to Kidderminster Harriers in 2011.

Two years later, the Englishman signed for Terry Butcher's Inverness and played a pivotal role in the Highlanders' finest hour in 2015, scoring the winner in their Scottish Cup final win over Falkirk.

Vincent was a team-mate of current Pars star Nat Wedderburn during their inaugural Europa League venture before he departed for Dundee in the summer of 2016.

After featuring regularly during the 2016-17 campaign, Vincent has found appearances harder to come by this term under ex-Pars coach Neil McCann, playing just five times for the Dees.

He is Johnston's third signing of this window following the arrivals of goalkeeper Lee Robinson and fellow midfielder James Craigen.
