Pars to sign Spanish goalkeeper
PARS are trying to bring in a Spanish goalkeeper before Saturday's SPL match at Dundee United.
Manager Jim Jefferies' first signing looks set to be Bernardo Dominguez Fernandez, known as Bernardo, who is a 32-year-old free agent.
The 6ft1 stopper's last club was Huesca, who play in the second tier of Spanish football, and he has also played for Alaves and Recreativo.
Director of football Jim Leishman said, "We're in the process of getting clearance for a goalkeeper.
"It's a last minute signing and we're trying to get it done before the weekend."
Bernardo will provide competition for Chris Smith, who is the only fit, senior keeper on the club's books after the departure of loan signing Ian Turner and the long term injury suffered by Paul Gallacher.
