CHAIRMAN John Yorkston said the Pars aim to bounce straight back to the SPL and will cope with the financial turmoil of relegation.

But the break-up of the team that won the first division last year looks on the cards with 18 players out of contract next week.

That includes captain Austin McCann, Steven Bell, David Graham, Liam Buchanan, Nick Phinn, Mark Kerr and Gary Mason, while Kyle Hutton will return to Rangers after his loan.

Relegation was confirmed on Monday with a 4-0 defeat from Hibs and manager Jim Jefferies will have to build a new squad this summer.

Yorkston said, "We're going to have to concentrate on the budget and finalise it with the manager but we will cope.

"At the moment we have 28 players, only 10 of which are under contract for next season.

"The squad for next year won't be 28, we'll probably aim for 20-22 and the wages on offer will reflect the division we are in.

"No doubt some of the players will end up moving on but it will be up to Jim who he wants."
