DUNFERMLINE have narrowly avoided another Fife derby after the Scottish Communities League Cup second round draw pitted them against Cowdenbeath's conquerors Montrose at East End Park.

The Third Division side upset their First Division opponents 2-1 at Links Park last Saturday and Dunfermline will be wary of avoiding a similar fate in the tie which will be played on either Tuesday 28th or Wednesday 29th August.

The Pars begin their First Division campaign tomorrow at Cowdenbeath's Central Park.
