DUNFERMLINE ATHLETIC youngster Scott Sutherland is in action for Scotland's under-15s in a friendly at East End Park this afternoon.

The 15-year-old striker is set to take his place in attack in the challenge match against the Republic of Ireland, which kicks off at 3pm.

Sutherland (pictured with team-mate John James Henderson), who has been with the Pars for five years, has already played for Scotland in games with Switzerland and Turkey and said, "Singing the national anthem was amazing, it was the best feeling. I have played at East End Park with the under-13s and have been on the bench for the under-20s, so I know how the pitch plays but this will be the first serious game on it.

"I know most of the boys in the squad from previous Scotland gatherings; my first one on 25th February last year and the first game I played was on 10th September."
