DUNFERMLINE'S washed-out Petrofac Training Cup first round tie with Raith Rovers will be played on Tuesday 5th August, it has been confirmed.
Saturday's tie was called off by referee Steven McLean at 3.40pm after a freak thunderstorm left the East End Park pitch waterlogged in several areas (pictured).
The kick-off had initially been delayed because of a partial power failure inside the ground due to the weather conditions, but a heavy downpour caused several parts of the surface to be deemed unplayable after two pitch inspections.
Tickets bought for the game will be valid for the rearranged fixture, which will kick off at 7.45pm.
