DUNFERMLINE will begin their quest for Scottish Cup glory on the road after being drawn away to East Stirlingshire in the third round.
The draw made yesterday (Monday) produced a repeat of last season's League Cup first round match, which Athletic won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ryan Wallace and Craig Dargo.
The tie will be played on Sunday 2nd November with a 3pm kick-off after Stenhousemuir, Shire's landlords at Ochilview, were handed a home tie with Brechin City that will be played on the Saturday.
Meanwhile in the third round draw for the Scottish Youth Cup, the Pars were paired at home to Clyde. That match is due to take place on the same date as the East Stirlingshire game but could now be re-arranged.
