FORMER Pars winger Andy Stirling has completed a return to former club Stranraer following his release from the club.

He was one of 18 out of contract players let go by new manager Allan Johnston as part of his rebuilding plans and put pen to paper on a deal with the Stair Park men yesterday (Wednesday), while Ryan Goodfellow and Jonathan Page have both signed for League Two outfit East Fife.

Stirling (25, pictured), who was named in the SPFL League One team of the year in 2014, joined the Pars last summer but struggled to make an impact at East End Park, spending the latter part of the season on loan at Stirling Albion.

Goodfellow, who was restricted to six appearances for the club, moves to New Bayview after failing to dislodge on loan Partick Thistle stopper Ryan Scully as Dunfermline's first choice keeper, while Page has made his loan spell with Gary Naysmith's team permanent.
