The five piece band, which recently changed their name from Alistair McGinty Webster Ward and Fisher (AMWF) to Sinderins, comprises of Stevie Anderson, Gavin McGinty, Tom Barbour, Billy Fisher and David Webster.

Stevie took some time out of rehearsals to chat with Press:ON ahead of their gig on Saturday, “We've played PJs before, it's a great venue – you get a really good sound there and we always get a warm welcome," he said. “This will be the first time we play there as Sinderins since a band member left and since we have changed our previous cumbersome name!

“Sinderins is a really well known five-way junction in Dundee.

“This album was recorded with Grammy award winning Matt Lawrence and has taken about 10 months to complete and we haven't heard it yet so we are looking forward to that. It is a nice feeling to have it finished and it will be great to play it live on Saturday.” When asked about the formation of the band Stevie replied, “We have built the band around three vocalists and Bill is always on the drums and Tom is always on the bass. So the three of us are all songwriters and we chip in to each others and make it a big collaboration.

“We know each other from being in other bands in Dundee and supporting each other and then when those bands went their own ways we started jamming at an open mic place in Dundee called Thompsons and it grew and evolved from there.

“The ethos is built around the singers and when someone is singing we each pick up whatever else.” Stevie told Press:ON their plans for 2015, “Well tomorrow [Friday] actually we are launching our own pale ale with Krafty Brew in Edinburgh! So we will be playing a gig there too.

“We also have Glasgow gigs lined up and a few other gigs in the works that I can't tell you about at the moment.

“We also have a PledgeMusic site set up – this allows you to purchase the album before anyone else, access exclusive updates, video content and grab some unique and interesting items along the way.

“Importantly, it also gives us the money to market our album more effectively – allowing us to pay for music videos as well as promotion to radio stations, music magazines and TV. Radio support secures gigs, tours and festivals, which in turn will support the recording of another album further down the line.

“You can't buy our ale on it there though!” Tickets for the gig, which starts at 7pm, cost £10 and are available from behind PJ Molloys' bar or by going to www.ticketweb.co.uk.
