SCOTS teenage singing sensation Carly Connor is coming to Dunfermline on her first headline tour.

Signed on the spot after auditioning for Atlantic Records, Carly is an exciting new talent set for major success in 2012.

The 19-year-old Glaswegian has already appeared in Dunfermline when she supported The View at the Glen Pavilion in December.

She now takes centre stage on her UK tour which comes to PJ Molloys on Thursday 5th July.

Since moving to London two years ago, Carly has been writing and perfecting her debut album, set for release next year. Last year saw Carly work with top producers Angelo Petraglia (Kings Of Leon) in Nashville and Daniel Ledinsky (Cee Lo Green) in Stockholm.

This month will see Carly pack her bags for New York City to work with the legendary Ben H Allen, producer for Christina Aguilera, MIA & Animal Collective. She has also spent time this year working with Dan Grech (The Vaccines).

Carly's mature songwriting and heart felt lyrics have been shaped in part by her Easterhouse childhood and draws on influences such as Janis Joplin and early Tina Turner records.

She has been performing live since she was just 11 years old and delivers her songs with a unique and powerful voice. Speaking about the tour, Carly said "This has already been a really exciting year for me and is set to get better and better. I can't wait to get back out on tour and rock it on these shows".

Carly has already racked up an impressive live résumé having supported fellow Scots The View & Paolo Nutini on tour across the UK and in Europe, including playing to 10,000 fans at the Estadio Municipal, Milan.

She was also selected by Claude Nobs to play this year's Montreux Jazz Festival, billed alongside Chaka Khan, as well as performances at Arthur's Day in Dublin and Rockness. Carly will also embark on an extensive European tour later this year.
