(Meams Road, Busby Road & Benview Road, Clarkston) (Temporary Restriction to Use of Road) Order 2021

On the 11 June 2021 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order has been promoted to restrict vehicular access to sections of Mearns Road, Busby road and Benview Road, Clarkston to facilitate the safe operation of essential carriageway and footway resurfacing works being carried out on these roads.

The works are scheduled to commence on Monday 28 June until Friday 27 August 2021 and will be carried out over a number of phases thus limiting disruption to vehicular traffic as much as possible.

Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident and pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Roads to be closed:

(i) Mearns Rd - between its junction Busby Rd and Benview Rd/ Seres Rd



(ii) Mearns Rd - between its junction with Highfield Rd and Flenders Rd



(iii) Busby Rd - between ClarkstonToll and Rowallan Lane



(iv) Benview Rd - over its full length



(v) Mearns Road junctions with - Hillview Dr, Greenwood Rd, Kilpatrick Gdns, Flenders Rd
