The Scottish Borders Council (A72 Horsburgh) (Temporary 30 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2017
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 07:00 on 12 August 2017 and is expected to remain in effect until 03:00 on 13 August 2017. The Order is required in the interests of public safety, to permit safe access and egress to the Peebles Agricultural Show.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle at a speed exceeding 30mph along that length of A72 Horsburgh from 650 metres east of its junction with the B7088 to 440 metres west of the same junction.
The Scottish Borders Council (B7059 South of Romanno Bridge) (Temporary Closing) Order 2017
The Scottish Borders Council have made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18
months, will come into force on 9 August 2017 and is expected to remain in effectfor a period of two days between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 each day. The closure is required to replace a telegraph pole.
When the Order comes into effectno person shall drive, or cause, or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7059 from the A72 to the Bordlands junction.
The alternative route for northbound traffic is via the A72, A701 and B7059 to the point of
closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays.
