PAINTINGS and drawings depicting a re-imagined ancient Celtic myth will be displayed at a new exhibition in Dunfermline.

The tale of McSuibne, who is cursed by St Ronan and turned into a bird who can find no rest, will be told through art and a Scots language reinterpretation at Fire Station Creative.

Words by Fife poet and songwriter William Hershaw will be complimented by artworks by Les McConnell exploring the themes of nature, healing, language and isolation in a modern context.

The show, named McSuibne Agley, will open with a live performance by Mr Hershaw and The Leid Band on August 3 at 7.25pm.

All visitors are welcome.

The exhibition will then run until Sunday, September 3, and entry is free.
