THE funeral has taken place in Kelty of tragic toddler Madison Horn.

Hundreds of villagers lined the streets as Madison's tiny white coffin was carried through Kelty by a carriage drawn by two white horses adorned with pink livery.

Mourners were urged to wear pink for the funeral, which took place at Kelty Parish Church around lunchtime before heading on to Beath Cemetery.

MSP and former Fife Council leader Alex Rowley was among the mourners and earlier he said earlier, "This is a very close-knit community of Kelty and people have all been shocked that this could have happened to a young child." An appeal in the village to help the family with the funeral costs raised more than £5000 while nearly 600 people turned out for a lantern tribute to the tot.

Kevin Park (26) has been charged with Madison's murder.
