A BLOOMIN’ marvellous time is in store next month at the 84th Saline Flower and Vegetable Show.

Organised by the Saline and District Horticultural and Handcraft Amateur Society, the show will offer more than 150 categories and something for everyone.

This year’s event, on 6th and 7th September, will be opened by Claire Paton, current president of Kinross Agricultural Society.

Judging of the gardens, hanging baskets, tubs and containers around the village has already taken place, and pre-show staging will take place on the Friday from 6-9pm and the Saturday from 7.30-10am.

The show will be held in Saline Community Centre and opens from 2-4.30pm on the Saturday and Sunday.

For the keen gardeners there are the usual cut flowers, pot plants, vegetable and fruit classes, while kids can take part in fun classes, from decorating cupcakes to handmade jewellery.
