FIREFIGHTERS rushed to Cairneyhill last night (Thursday) after a chip pan fire set a boiler alight.
The alarm was raised just after 8pm and two fire engines rushed to the semi-detached house in Northbank Road.
The fire was put out prior to their arrival but crews doused the area to make sure it was extinguished, and also isolated the gas supply.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a chip pan fire that had set the boiler casing alight. Nobody was injured in the incident.
