AN articulated tanker caught fire on the M90 this morning (Monday).

Emergency crews rushed to the motorway after being alerted at 6.10am to an tanker aflame on the northbound carriageway between Halbeath and Kelty.

Two fire engines from Dunfermline attended and the road was shut while crews extinguished the flames. The fire was put out by 7.10am.

The tanker contained flour and no one was injured. Ambulance crews checked the driver over but he did not require hospital treatment.
