MOTORISTS in Dunfermline and West Fife are being advised to plan ahead as resurfacing work takes place at the end of the month.
Both the town centre and Newmills will be affected from Monday, October 26 for approximately two weeks.
In Dunfermline, works will be taking place on New Row between Priory Lane and Canmore Street, with a road closure and diversion needed for Canmore Street at the junction of New Row on Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 3. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place.
Resurfacing work will also be carried out on Main Street, Newmills, between the old post office and Low Causeway side road west, where temporary traffic lights will again be in place.
Bus services to both areas will continue as normal and there will be access allowed for emergency services vehicles at all times. Fife Council said it will also try its best to give local residents and businesses access.
A spokesperson said: "We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these works and we’ll try to keep disturbance to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated."
