CROSSGATES ice cream shop Divito's was caught up in flash flooding when water came in to the store yesterday afternoon (Monday).
Wet weather over the past 24 hours has caused upheaval for some West Fifers.
Jasmin Westwood, a worker in Divito's, said: "Flooding happens once in a blue moon here but water managed to get into the front of the shop.
"Thankfully it's just ruined the carpets and not the stock."
Many readers reported flooding problems in Main Street in Crossgates with one commenting on Facebook that they needed a canoe to get round the village.
Flash floods were also spotted around Queen Margaret Hospital and back roads including the B914 from Lathalmond to Steelend and B912 from Kingseat to Halbeath, where water was building up at the bottom of the hill.
Firefighters at Dunfermline Fire Station said they had not been called to incidents regarding flash flooding so far.
