A CROMBIE man is behind bars after driving while banned for the sixth time.
Steven Rough, 29, of Central Road, repeatedly ignored his disqualification and appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on July 17 at Central Road, he took and drove away a van without the consent of the owner.
He also admitted driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Defence solicitor Sarah Meehan requested reports to be obtained and said her client would comply with any conditions imposed if bail was granted.
Sheriff Craig McSherry pointed out that Rough had now breached the disqualification six times and he was now facing a jail sentence.
He said he had to call for reports before for doing that and remanded Rough in custody until sentencing on August 9.
