Charlestown Post Office will close from 1pm today (Tuesday) following the resignation of the Postmaster.
Post Office say this is a temporary closure until the company finds someone else to take over the branch.
Graham Turnock, Network Operations Manager, said: "The provision of a Post Office service to our customers in the local community is important to us, and we will continue to work hard to restore services in the area as soon as possible."
Alternative branches in the area include Crossford and Rosyth, which are both open seven days a week.
