Storm Caroline has firmly hit West Fife and winds of up 70 mph are expected for the rest of the day (Thursday) causing some travel disruption.
Gusts up to 80 mph are possible over high ground and around exposed coasts.
There's doesn't seem to be much disruption to rail journeys from Dunfermline and Rosyth but there have been delays on most trains stopping at Dalgety Bay and Aberdour caused by longer journey times.
Speed restrictions have also been placed on the Queensferry Crossing but traffic is now moving.
Rain is expected for the rest of the day and temperatures will be as low as -2 °C.
Looking at the rest of the week, the weather will be brighter on Friday and Saturday, but temperatures will still be low.
Snow is expected in West Fife on Sunday with temperatures down to -4 °C.
