A THIRTEEN-year old boy has been charged with assaulting another pupil at a Dunfermline school.
The incident took place last month and left a 12 year-old requiring hospital treatment.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police in Fife can confirm that a 13-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an assault and a report of reckless conduct at a school in Dunfermline.
“The incident happened around 11.20am on Friday, November 10.
“A 12-year-old boy sustained a head injury and was taken to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, for further treatment. He was later released.
“A report has been sent to the Children’s Reporter.”
