A CROSSGATES man has appeared in court after stealing a prescription pad from Queen Margaret Hospital.
Robert Higgins went on to use it to get his hands on prescription medicine.
Higgins, 28, of Droverhall Avenue, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on December 16, at Queen Margaret Hospital, he stole a prescription pad.
He also admitted that between December 19 and 28 at Gordons Chemist, Broad Street, Cowdenbeath, and other pharmacies in Fife, he repeatedly uttered as genuine a stolen prescription by presenting it to pharmacists. In this way, he received and attempted to receive prescription medication.
Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and Higgins will be sentenced on March 7.
