VILLAGERS in Aberdour are set for nearly two months of road disruption as works are carried out.

Resurfacing of Shore Road started today, years after calls for work to begin.

The Press reported in January 2016 that Aberdour Community Council had raised their concerns that Murrell Terrace was being upgraded before Shore Road, which they felt was “far more critical”.

Three road closures are in place during the resurfacing, starting with Shore Road from the A921 High Street to Livingston Lane, which will be fully shut until March 6.

The alternative route for through traffic is via A921 High Street and Livingston Lane, with two-way traffic permitted under traffic light control.
Shore Road from Livingston Lane to Craig Mor will close each day from 9am to 3pm from March 1 to 9.

The works will finish on March 13 following the closure of Shore Road from Craig Mor to The Shore, which will shut between 9am and 3pm from March 5.
