Localised flooding on Park Road in Rosyth is causing major problems for residents and parents.

Park Road Primary has now been closed and parents are reportedly carrying their children on their backs because the water has become so deep.

Water on the street is rising by the minute and the Burn nearby has burst its banks.

Neighbours say water is now coming over their wellies and inches away from entering their property.

SEPA had issued a flood alert for Fife following heavy rain and melting snow conditions.

There is also reports of flooding on the Halbeath to Kingseat back road and in at the Inverkeithing end of the dales road at North end of rail bridge.

Drivers should still take care when driving through West Fife roads as a yellow warning for rain and snow is in place until this evening.

On the back road beside Elgin Industrial estate some drivers have already destroyed their engines by driving through pools of water.
