POLICE have launched an investigation after a break-in at Lynburn Primary School in Dunfermline.
Officers are making enquiries in connection to the incident at the Nith Street school, which took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Items are said to have been stolen from the building, which was believed to have been targeted at around 4am.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Press: "Police in Dunfermline are investigating an attempted break-in at Lynburn Primary School.
"The incident happened sometime overnight between Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th May.
"Inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police immediately."
Members of the public who have any information are asked to call 101, quoting reference 0399 of 8th May.
