A KELTY man is in custody following a drunken disturbance at the weekend.
George Mackie was arrested after brandishing a metal pole and trying to hit a policeman with it.
Mackie, 21, of Main Street, Kelty, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on May 6 at Denfield Avenue, Cardenden, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, making threats of violence, brandishing a metal pole and repeatedly striking a fence with the pole.
He also admitted that on the same day he assaulted a police officer in the execution of his duty and attempted to strike him with a metal pole.
Defence solicitor Ian Beatson said: βHe had consumed far too much alcohol.β
Mackie, also known as Jack, admitted breaching a community payback order imposed for a previous disturbance in which he threatened police.
Sheriff Craig McSherry called for reports and Mackie was remanded in custody until sentencing on May 30.
