A KELTY man with a long history of motoring offences has been jailed and given another life-time driving ban.
Jamie Mullan, 37, of Loch Leven Terrace, appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
His latest offence came to light when he did not pay for petrol at a Dunfermline filling station.
Mullan admitted that on March 3 last year in Halbeath Road, he drove while disqualified and without insurance.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett admitted: “He’s got a bad record for driving offences.”
Looking at Mullan’s previous convictions, Sheriff Pino di Emidio commented: “He’s had at least two life bans that I can see here.”
Mr Flett went on: “He has a fascination with cars. On this occasion, he went into a petrol station. He had no money to pay and left his name and address. He went back to pay later but by then the police had been contacted.”
Sheriff di Emidio jailed Mullan for eight months and imposed another life-long disqualification.
