Inconsiderate drivers have been deliberately flashing their headlights into residents windows at Dalgety Bay.
Police issued a stark warning after reports of the anti-social behaviour at a popular spot by the Forth at Harbour Place.
South West Fife Police said on Twitter: "This behaviour will not be tolerated."
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in South West Fife have received a number of complaints relating to recent incidents of anti-social behaviour by motorists at Harbour Place in Dalgety Bay. There has been an increase in vehicle patrols to the area in response to this and officers continue to work to tackle the issue.
"Several cars have been identified as gathering in this area and the owners have been issued with informal warning letters, and the Community Policing Team continue to explore other possible deterrence measures in consultation with partners and residents.
"Anyone with information or concerns about this is encouraged to contact Dalgety Bay Police Station via 101, reporting the registration numbers of any cars involved, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
