HAVE you got what it takes to take on the current winners of West Fife's 'It's a Knockout' challenge?

Inverkeithing's famous obstacle course returns this weekend bringing together hundreds of fundraisers from across West Fife who are game for a laugh all in the name of charity.

Last year's event saw 200 adults and 40 kids compete in teams at Ballast Bank so they could be crowned kings and queens of the event’s physical trials in aid of Hyperclub.

Teams will also be competing for the Champion Fundraiser Shield with a whopping £15,000 raised in 2017.

New for 2018, individuals will be able to sign up on the day for £10 to take part in the obstacle course fun.

Spectators can also go and enjoy the free event that features karaoke, bouncy castles, fair rides, stalls, and much more.

Hyperclub, run out of Ballast Bank Community Centre, is a charity for children and adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems.

It offers educational activities, including karaoke, games and arts and crafts, 30 hours a week but the charity wants to extend to seven days a week if it can find a permanent home.

Founder Suzie Connelly, who won the Press Heart of Gold award at our Community Champions awards in 2016, said: "Fundraising for this year will go towards a bus and we'll need around £30,000 to get that.

"We're also hoping to move into a new home in the new year because we've just totally outgrown the community centre!

"Our books are always full and we just can't take any more people!"

Hyperclub are hopeful that they will be able to move to the former Rosyth Resource Centre and they are expecting a decision by Fife Council in the coming weeks.

Suzie believes the building suits their needs perfectly.

"We will be able to offer activities for everyone across the community seven days a week," she added.

"From our community cafe, to our foodbank, salon and gym. We'll also have cooking, sewing and joinery workshops.

"The space we'll have means we'll have three sensory rooms instead of just one too. These things are very important to our customers.

"We're helping over 100 families a week in this area now and we just want to keep going and getting better because it's the most rewarding thing to see the joy in their faces.

"It has given so many wonderful people a lifestyle they have never had before."

The event starts at 11.30am and the family fun day will run until 5pm. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/events/973503529481371/
