A FORMER Mexican restaurant in Dunfermline is set to go under the hammer next week.

The premises at 5 Chalmers Street, right next to Pittencrieff Park, is on the market with a price tag of about £130,000 and is described as being in "walk in" condition.

SVA Property Auctions' director and auctioneer, Shaun Vigers, said the property would be ideal for a restaurant venue.

“There is already a premises licence in place which can be transferred to any new owner and the unit is in good repair with all fitted equipment in full working order and fully compliant," he said.

"This area of Dunfermline, next to Pittencrieff Park is on the up and has seen a boost in footfall since the opening of The Seven Kings Pub and Restaurant around the corner."

The auction, which will feature 26 properties from across Scotland, takes place on Wednesday at the Trades Hall in Glasgow.
