AN INCONSIDERATE driver smashed into a young Dunfermline office worker’s dream car and left the scene without leaving any note.
Emma Macewan said damage costing around £3,000 had been caused at the St Margaret’s Street car park last Wednesday.
She said: “I park there every day for work and on Wednesday it was there from about 8.15am to 5.30pm.
“Unfortunately, when I returned, I realised someone had ran into my car. If it was just a little scratch I wouldn’t be so bothered but in this case, the damage is quite significant.
“I’m going to have to get a new bonnet, new headlights, jet washer for my headlights and probably a new bonnet.
“The garage said the driver must have been going at some speed to do that.”
"The driver was more than likely driving a blue Renault as remnants of blue paint and part of an alloy were left at the scene. I have insurance but it’s a matter of principle that people can’t just leave a damaged car, it’s a crime. I’ve reported it to the police but I’m appealing for witnesses as there are no leads.
“The BMW is my dream car. Others aren’t that bothered but when I was little I had pictures of them!”
