A DUNFERMLINE teenager has appeared in court for stealing a caravan from a travellers’ site.
Michael Gavin was also caught driving when banned the next day and gave the police a false name.
Gavin, 19, of Urquhart Crescent, admitted that on Saturday, at Heathery Wood, Thornton Road, Thornton, he stole a caravan.
On Sunday, at Heathery Wood, he took and drove away a vehicle without the owner’s consent.
He then drove on various roads in Fife including at Halbeath Road, Dunfermline, while disqualified and without insurance.
Gavin also admitted he gave false details to police officers saying his name was David Whyte with intent to pervert the course of justice.
Sheriff Linda Smith called for reports and Gavin was remanded in custody until sentencing on October 10.
