A DUNFERMLINE drug dealer has been jailed after a police raid on his home.
Officers found illegal substances with a street value of more than £2,000 when they searched the house of Alexander Pearce.
Pearce, 38, of Inchkeith Drive, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.
He admitted that between November 12 and December 5 last year, at his home, he was concerned in the supply of diamorphine and ecstasy.
Depute fiscal Cheryl Clark said police received information and sought a search warrant which was executed at 10.20am on December 6.
They were allowed in and Pearce said: “If there’s anything, it would be in my room. It wouldn’t be anywhere else.”
Bags and tubs containing powder were seized. Pearce said the drugs were for his personal consumption.
There was 23 grams of diamorphine with a maximum street value of £1,380 and the ecstasy had a value of £840.
Defence solicitor Alexander Flett said his client had run up drug debts. “He was pressured into selling the items to clear these significant debts,” he added.
Sheriff Craig McSherry jailed Pearce for 14 months.
