A DUNFERMLINE man was found to have some of the worst child sex videos that police analysts had ever seen, a court has heard.

There were hundreds of depraved images and videos which included sex with young children and infants.

Lee O’Malley, 33, of Townhill Road, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that between December 5 and 19 last year at his home he was in possession of indecent images of children.

Depute fiscal Alex Kirk told the court that police, acting on intelligence received, sought a warrant and this was executed at O’Malley’s home on December 19.

His mobile phone was seized and was later found to contain indecent images.

He claimed he had “seen images but not collected them”.

However, his phone contained 373 indecent images, 40 of these in the ‘A’ category, the classification for the most disgusting type.

He had five videos, four of the A category. These involved one of a child aged 12-15 months old, with a mask over its face and an adult urinating on the baby.

There was also a video showing sexual activity with a young child who was “obviously in distress”, added the depute.

O’Malley admitted to police that he took part in online chat sites where there were videos and photos posted of extreme sexual acts with children, including infants.

The depute said: “I understand that these were some of worst videos that these analysts have ever seen.”

He also took part in “sexualised chats about children on Skype”.

Asked if he was interested in sex with children, O’Malley said he was but only “in fantasies not real life”.

Sheriff Craig McSherry, called for reports. He said: “With some reluctance I’ll continue bail but it’s highly likely that this person is going to be given a custodial sentence.”

O’Malley was put the sex offenders’ register and will be sentenced on November 7.
