STAFF at a Rosyth global oilfield provider are set to strike.
Unite the union confirmed this week that its membership at Oceaneering International Services had voted by more than 90 per cent for industrial action.
This followed the company's decision to serve notice of intent to withdraw from its Recognition Agreement and dismiss its Unite workplace representative.
Bob MacGregor, Unite regional industrial officer, said: “The message sent by this result to Oceaneering management is clear – we will fight to defend our recognition agreement and our properly elected workplace representative.
“There is still time to resolve this and Unite remain willing to do so.”
Oceaneering, which has a base in Rosyth at Dundas Road, provides engineering services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry.
The company did not respond to requests for comment.
