A FOOTBALL fan is expected to appear in court after being charged with throwing coins at a Pars player.
Police in Forth Valley have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the incident during last month's match between Dunfermline and Falkirk.
The game took place on October 6 at the Falkirk Stadium, with the Pars winning 2-0, and although the coins missed and no-one was injured, police inquiries have been ongoing since.
The man is expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court at a later date and Detective Sergeant Kenny Halliday, Forth Valley's Dedicated Football Officer, said: "Throwing items on the pitch or at people is a reckless and disruptive act.
"We remain committed to pursuing those who attempt to cause others harm and ruin the game for the majority of responsible fans."
The two clubs will meet again this Saturday at East End Park in their second league encounter of the season.
